Swell Boards -
ideal for learning on.
We use Swell boards for the Basic lesson. These boards are the ideal boards for learning surfing's basics:
- They are big and buoyant and therefore make a nice steady platform on which to stand.
- Swell boards are slightly weighted in the nose ( front) of the board to keep the board flat in the water making waves easier to catch.
- The boards have a soft covering making them safe for use by complete beginners and children.
Surfboards can be rented for £10 per day or £50 per week.
GAS suits
We use GAS wetsuits for our lessons.
- They have been developed in Britain by Alder for our uncompromising climate.
- The wetsuits are 4'3's proividing an ideal compromise between flexibility and warmth.
Wetsuits can be hired for £6 per day or £30 per week.
Surface Surfboards
For Improver surfers we use Surface surfboards.
- Refined plan-shape (outline) and rails (edges) give increased maneouvrability.
- Three fins provide more control and drive (speed).
- The Surface's soft covering makes them ideal for everyone regardless of ability.
- Very buoyant.

Whether you want to look cool at the beach, keep out the chill or terrorise the local mall the GAS hoodie is for you. It comes in any colour so long as its slate blue and retails for £30.
