Learn to Surf

From the 1st April to the 31st of October we run two surfing lessons daily (if conditions are suitable).

Surfing lesson times are:
AM. Check in at 10:00am
Start at 10:30am - finish at 12:30

PM. Check in at 1:30pm
Start at 2pm - finish at 4pm


Our Beginner/Improver surfing courses are two-hour lessons that cover safety issues, catching waves, standing up, turning and controlling the surfboard. Surfboard and wetsuit are provided free of charge for any of our lessons.

All lessons include a further one and a half hours hire of surfboard and wetsuit free of charge (worth £19 alone) and ASI certification through the Surfwise programme. People booking two or more lessons get a 10% Loyalty Card that is redeemable in our shop.*

If you've already had a few lessons elsewhere and don't want to jump in to of one of our beginner surfing courses then a Progressor Surfing Lesson can be arranged to ease the the transition between the first tentative steps and riding unbroken waves for £30.

We have loads of experience with Stag and Hen Parties and can help you to arrange a great day for those last days before marriage. A 20% Group Discount is available for groups of 5 - 10 people. For groups of 11 - 20 we can give a 25% discount. 21+ = 30% discount.

One on One Coaching is available to fine-tune your surfing for £75 for the first two hours and £30 per hour thereafter. This session includes video analysis, tips on reading the line-up, paddling and positioning techniques and hints to develop your wave riding and repertoire. Small Group surfing lessons can be booked for upto 6 people ( minimum of 3 people) at a rate of £40 per person per 2hr session. Fewer people = more personalised coaching. Price also includes all equipment required.

With small groups we can also offer a Safari option. We will pick you up from your accommodation, take you to where the best waves are on the day, give you a two hour surf lesson, let you practise for a couple of hours and then take you home. This is for groups of 3-5 people and costs £50 per person. This price includes all equipment required and transportation.

Several local and national Schools and Colleges bring their pupils to us for group surfing lessons and we can provide tailored surfing courses that fit around your students learning needs and timetables.

 Our Junior Surf Club is for children aged 8 - 16 yrs who can commit to ten sessions over the summer season. The Club is started with a £30 induction lesson but every session afterwards is £6 per person. These lessons are run at 10:00am on Saturdays and 4pm on Wednesdays from April to November.

* Loyalty Card is redeemable against all new wetsuits, clothing and assessories. Surf Hire, surf lessons, surfboards and sale items are not included in this offer.
