Family Surfing Lessons

We offer families the choice of joining in the normal public group sessions or you can book a private lesson with your own personal instructor for the entire session. 

These groups are particularly popular with families with young children who might be intimidated in a larger surfing group.

Our surfing lessons all take place on Gwithian beach which is a beautiful family-friendly beach and one of the safest beaches to learn to surf country-wide.

Gwithian is a gently sloping beach that gets mellow breaking waves that allow for more time to get to your feet and are ideal for young surfers as well as old.

Our public classes are for surfers ages 10 years and over however if you have a surfer younger than 10 years old in your group we ask that you book a private session. Anyone from the age of 6 years and over can do a private session.

Private surfing lessons also have more flexibility in starting times and you can ask for 30 minutes earlier or later start if you wish.

All of our surfing lessons include use of wetsuits and surfboards and you get to keep the kit for a further hour after the lessons. This will allow you to stay out in the sea working on the individual goals set by your instructor. If you’re in a private class and you have your own camera the instructor can even get a few snaps of you surfing together.

Learning to surf is one of the most talked about activities on peoples holidays and something the whole family will remember for years to come.
